Cake profiles

Cakes and Bakes started business in November 2008.A confectionery company which specializes in the production of cakes, pastries and snacks. Our cakes include the following but are not limited to special gateaux cakes for desserts, specialty/novelty birthday cakes and wedding cakes.

We also specialize in the provision of food for cocktail functions, breakfast meetings or packed lunches. Here we prepare food according to occasion and customer specifications in a cost effective way thereby making our prices fair in the market. Cakes and Bakes continues to investigate and address the needs of the customer and so our products continue to change accordingly. One of our strength being that we bake our products from fresh ingredients and do not use premixed ingredients.

In June 2013 we opened a Bakery in Zvishavane which produces bread, pies, buns, doughnuts, cakes, among other confectionery.

Cakes and Bakes continues to adapt to the ever-changing economic environment which is why it has diversified over the years. From a small home baking business, Cakes and Bakes has grown into a fully fledged bakery. It now employs 12 permanent people in various specialties and has trained a number of people in cooking, baking and icing. Some have moved on to be commendable Bakers and Cake Artist.
